Deprecating the auction resell method
A gentle reminder to all our domain holders. The auction resell method will be entirely deprecated within the next three weeks. This week we cancelled the ability to resell domains via the auction method. Take a look at the important dates below.
Records V2 in open beta
Not too long ago we started SNS IP to build the name service more collaboratively and transparently. SNS IP 2 set out to improve domain name records - particularly their staleness and authenticity.
To handle these issues of staleness and authenticity we have introduced the requirement of signatures when creating and/or updating records This marks stale records when ownership changes and allows an optional guardian verification for authenticity.
This was a namespace-wide project to attempt to solidify some structures for decentralized domains. Hopefully, we delivered a foundation for other domain name providers to replicate and build more comprehensively.
We’re excited to officially launch Records V2 in open beta. Don’t forget to give it a test on sns.id - toggle the beta button on (under your profile) and go ahead to set a record!

GemWallet integrates SNS
Another day, another wallet integration for .sol domain names. We’re stoked to announce that GemWallet has integrated SNS on both Solana and BNB Smart chain.
This means you can use your .sol to ease your transaction experience on either chain using their wallet. So long addresses! A user-first integration for both our communities.
Bonfida Wolves are burning
We’ve seen over 150 Bonfida Wolves get burned for a .sol domain name. This has resulted in over 100K USD volume for registration volume for SNS (where the volume is of course theoretical). We promised that something big was in store for the Wolves and it sure was a neat deal.
The floor is currently for the Bonfida Wolves NFT is about 2.01 SOL, which is still well under the value of certain domain names. Wolves can be bought on any popular NFT marketplace and exchanged for a domain.

Solana Allstars is taking off
Bonfida has officially joined the Solana Allstars family pioneered by our friends Step Finance.
It is an ambassador program aimed at educating people on Solana and its ecosystem projects by hosting real-life events.
They’ve realized great success averaging between 100-200 attendees for every single event. Currently, the events are only run in Turkey and Nigeria but expect it to expand to 4 new locations. These are the types of initiatives we want to be a part of. One that’s on the ground and garners a crowd that wants to learn and become a part of the eocystem.
