It has been a while since we announced that we are taking .sol domain names cross-chain. The cat is out of the bag, BNB Smart Chain here we come!

We’ve finally deployed bridging domains in our beta testing feature.

New beta testing feature

Beta testing mode is now available. On the naming.bonfida.org site users can toggle the beta button to be able to test new features at the same time we do before its official launch. Therefore, you can experiment and make recommendations in real-time.

Experimental xChain domains deployed

First up on our beta testing feature is crossing your .sol domain names to the BNB smart chain. The bridging is a read-only integration which means you can transact with your domain on the BNB chain as opposed to using your BNB address.

This integration is still in an experimental phase but we wanted to get you familiarised with the logistics of the process. Read our documentation here to understand exactly how it works.

The team is currently hard at work building partnerships with BNB wallets and cross-chain wallets to implement our xChain domains. Stay tuned!
