How do I get a domain?
If the domain does not yet exist you can register it directly on sns.id. When doing so, the domains are sold at a fixed price based on character length.
Additionally, you can buy these domains as NFTs on popular marketplaces like Magic Eden & Hyperspace, as a fixed price listing or on auction. A full guide can be found here.
I’ve just bought a domain and it’s not in my wallet! How do I activate/set it up?
Once you have purchased a domain it is automatically linked to your wallet address; there is no need to set it up. Now, you can use it to transact or any of the other functionalities we have.
Are there any annual fees for holding a .sol domain name?
No, there are no annual fees. Once you have bought your domain it is yours for a lifetime.
Can I send my domain to another wallet?
Of course. You can transfer your domain an unlimited number of times to different addresses for only a small gas fee.
I just purchased a domain, what can I do with it?
Currently, the main use case is efficient transacting on the blockchain. Instead of using your pubkey you can send and receive funds with your .sol address. Other than that, you can host decentralized websites, use it as an identity on multiple different platforms, trade it, etc. The utility is constantly expanding.
